old antique late 1800/early 1900s German 1 pc back full size violin for restoration. The faux 1 pc. curly maple back measures 14 by 8 1/8 inches. There are no bassbar or soundpost cracks on the violin and the neck is solid. The scroll and pegbox are in good condition. The pegs turn smoothly and the fingerboard is in good condition. There is no soundpost and there is a slight open seam to the right of the endpin (please check pics). The violin is not labelled. The violin is for restoration. The violin has age related scratches/wearmarks on the varnish (please check pics). The top has a scratch/hairline in the saddle repair area (please check pics). Please check pics. and email questions.
